Commitment to Remove Organics

Molecular Filtration, Inc. was founded on the belief that science and technology will help all aspects of water purification, especially ones related to organics.

Organics in water are generally grouped into two classes, large or small. About 90% of the organics found in water fall into the category of being large, but these are generally not identified, they are considered to be non-volatile. The smaller organics are usually more volatile, that is, they can evaporate relatively quickly. Halogenated molecules are a group of chemicals that consist mostly of organics containing chlorine and, to a lesser extent, bromine. The effect of these halogenated compounds should be of great concern to everyone, since some of these synthetic organics find their its way into our water supplies and are extremely toxic. 

Our commitment to develop a super membrane capable of separating organics was a plus with us. 

A Mature and Reliable Technology

Molecular Filtration, Inc. was conceived by Felipe Lembcke a chemical engineer in 1998. By 2000 Dr.Sc. Eduardo Gomez-Maqueo join the company. The idea was to solve what had emerged as one of the biggest problems in the industry - "The removal of organics"

By July 2001, and after a long process of studying and testing membrane technologies, they decided to incorporate tubular ceramic membranes for the pretreatment of fluids.

For almost three years, they researched the possibilities the separation of organics from fluids and achieving a molecular filtration process by the use of tubular ceramic membranes.

In 2004 they officially incorporated Molecular Filtration, Inc. in the State of Texas. To become the first company in the world to do filtration at the molecular level.
